Congratulations to Wisconsin State Fair, Good Neighbor Award Recipient

NICA Good Neighbor Award

As a part of this year's Industry Excellence Reception at NICA Marketplace, we will be honoring our newest recipient(s) of the NICA Good Neighbor Award. Our last recipient was Wisconsin State Fair (pictured), with Lisa Immel and Shari Black, CFE accepting the award from Nominator Sandy Class, CCE, Past President, and Award Originators Cie and Dale Smith, Family A Fair.

Has anyone surprised you this season with a good deed or a positive action that you never expected was possible? If so, we encourage you to submit a nomination statement identifying a person, group, or business that fits the description of a "Good Neighbor." For recognition at this year's NICA Marketplace, please submit your nomination by October 18th.

Candidate(s) Should Display the Following Attributes:

  • Follows the Golden Rule: “Do unto others as you would have others do unto you.”
  • Selflessness, gives without expecting reward.
  • Someone who has a smile and a positive word to share.
  • Someone who willingly volunteers to help in a manner that is beyond any expectations with NICA Activities, Fairgoers, NICA Members, and Industry events.
  • Given in the spirit of “Together We Can!”

Nomination Guidelines:

  • Nominations should be based on firsthand experience not “hear say.”
  • Nominator must be a NICA Member in good standing.
  • You may not nominate yourself or company member.
  • Members may submit nominees to their Regional Council, NICA Office, or NICA BOD via email or our online form at www.nicainc.org/goodneighbor with a detailed explanation of examples, accomplishments, dates, and good deeds.
  • The Board or Council will determine if nominee fits the criteria, based on the nomination submission.
  • All believed to fit criteria will be given awards.
  • Awarded candidate will be presented a “badge of honor” (plaque/award) at a NICA Gathering by the Nominating Member.
  • Photo will be taken and included in the following NICA News.
